Random things

Just a few random things:

1) Bree was here this last week for a nice visit and surprise birthday party for Dan's dad. We had a great time! While here, we cut out ponchos to mail to my aunt in the nursing home. Her severe dementia is starting to make aunt Dee curl into a ball. She is getting harder and harder to dress. So my mom, Bree, and I bought flannel at the fabric store and winged a few ponchos. No sewing, just cutting. Mine is too big, mom's is too small, and Bree's is just right. We made one round, one square, and one triangle. Kind of silly, but as long as they go over my aunt's head, keep her covered and warm, then they will be greatly used. 2) My mom bought a puppy and named her Jelly Bean. Bree is holding her in the picture above. Jelly Bean is a peke-chiweenie. That is 1/2 pekineses, 1/4 chihuahua, and 1/4 weenier dog, AKA Dachshund. Jelly Bean is 5 months old and so much fun. We really love her.

3) I am on an amazing winning streak. It truly is amazing—a gift from God—He is due all the credit and praise. I am blown away at the things I have won in drawings over the last 12 months. In October 2010, I won a $500 Bolivia diamond watch. Two months later, I won a $100 Visa gift card. This year I won a $40 spa card, a $20 iTunes card, and the creme' dela creme', I won an iPad2, 64GB, with a nice case and wireless keyboard. Just amazing! Thank you, Lord, for these awesome gifts! I am in awe.

4) Survivor. Oh!!! My!!! Stars!!! Who watched last week's episode? Is Ozzie nuts, or what? The gravedigger guy and ice cream scooper kid will no longer be considered the dumbest players in Survivor history. Ozzie just passed them by miles. He has played twice before, so he should know better. It will take a miracle for his plan to work. Not smart playing, but a true miracle. I can't wait for this week's episode. Plus there was high drama on Dancing with the Stars last week. Boy, talk about entertaining TV!!!!

5) I have two manuscripts in with publishers right now, one is with two different ones. My hopes are high and my prayers are fervent. May God's will be done.

Have a blessed week!

Fun post, Tammy. Keep them coming. I miss your biweekly posts, but I do understand if your daughter was in town.

The little puppy is cute, so are your ponchos. What a nice idea for your disabled aunt. You girls are funny. Love love, L.

My daughter knitted me one of those ponchos back when she was in junior high and just learning the craft. I looked like a bad imitation of Clint Eastwood without the cigar:) Luckily, she has moved on to other artsy endeavors and my poncho has been lost somewhere forever in the attic.
Sounds like your ponchos will be put to much better use.

Tina says: your age directly effects ammune system, your intake of vitamins do go to waste, but during the process may allow a weakinging of ammune system to pick-up every bug that comes from people contact and airline cabin bugs etc. She says to beef up your ammune system, about all you can do is have a autoimmune desease like MS...sorry , not funny
please be well, pray Lord, God , Holy Spirit. love Gary n Tina
